19 June 2023

British Sugar, the leading producer of sugar for the British and Irish food and beverage markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Packer as Managing Director. Packer today takes over from Mark Bainbridge, who has been in post as interim Managing Director since February 2023.

British Sugar is a company with a long history of producing high-quality sugar here in the UK, but we’re looking to the future – innovating on agri-tech, on decarbonisation and on minimising waste. I look forward to working with the fantastic team at British Sugar and with our growers, customers and stakeholders across the industry.”

Paul Kenward, CEO of ABF Sugar, commented on the appointment, “I am delighted that Keith has joined British Sugar as Managing Director.
