Icing Sugars
British Sugar Icing Sugars are a versatile group of milled sugars used extensively in sweet bakery as well as sugar and chocolate confectionery. With an average particle size of 24µm, the British Sugar range is ideal for icings and toppings, from traditional sugar paste and royal icing, to buttercreams and biscuit creams. Using icing sugar as an ingredient in biscuit dough and batters gives control over spread during the baking process.
Icing Sugar CP Icing Sugar CP contains tri-calcium phosphate as a free-flow agent and is suitable for all processing conditions and temperatures >80°C as in biscuits and biscuit creams.
Icing Sugar CF Where a free-flowing Icing Sugar and a natural claim is required, Icing Sugar CF is the Icing Sugar of choice using corn flour (non-GM) as a free flow agent. It is suitable for all applications that require no heating such as buttercreams and simple icings.
Icing Sugar NCP Icing NCP is 100% sugar (no free-flow additives) and is therefore suitable for pharmaceutical products. It also makes the ideal choice for products that require a natural claim label.
Dry Fondant Sugar
Dry Fondant is an Icing Sugar that contains 10% spray-dried glucose. It provides a simple and flexible way to produce fondant toppings and fudge icings and to seed fudges and chews.
Speciality Milled Sugars
Speciality Milled Sugars have a wide range of applications from biscuits and cake mixes to hot chocolate drinks and over-the-counter medicines.
Powdered Sugar Powdered Sugar is less finely milled than traditional icing sugars and as such dissolves more slowly. This is used to good effect in biscuits, dry mixes and powdered drinks.
In addition, powdered sugar CF (with cornflour) is available if required.
Ultrafine (Lightly Milled Sugar) Ultrafine is a combination of milled sugar and small sugar crystals. This sugar combines well with other ingredients and provides dissolving properties ideal for hot and cold powdered drinks, dry mixes and healthcare remedies. |
