British Sugar announces new campaign start dates at Bury and Cantley factories

British Sugar has announced a delayed start for the Bury St Edmunds and Cantley Factories for the 2009 Campaign due to hard ground conditions and harvesting difficulties.

The new start dates are below:

Bury St Edmunds    24th September 2009

Cantley                   28th September 2009

Commenting on the announcement, British Sugar’s head of agriculture, Colm McKay said, “British Sugar has listened to the concerns of growers and made these changes to hopefully allow improved harvesting conditions following forecast rainfall”.
