Corporate quality statement

As a company, we have set ourselves the following targets:

  • To offer for sale products which in use consistently satisfy the consumer and are perceived as value for money
  • To provide outstanding service and advice which at least meet customer expectations and are significantly better than any competitive alternative
  • To produce products which are safe, legally compliant and meet all our customers’ requirements.

We also aim to be regarded as a quality company by our customers, suppliers, employees, and the community in which we operate.

To achieve these aims efficiently, effectively and consistently, we have adopted the principles of quality management and all of our sites are registered to ISO 9001:2000 to encompass corporate activities relating to the manufacture, storage, packaging, distributing and selling of sugar products.

We have completed a programme of certification to the ‘British Retail Consortium Global Standard’ at all of our sites.

The following section describes the Quality Systems of British Sugar; it explains how all the quality requirements of our customers are to be identified and rigorously met.
