Icing and Milled Sugars

An extensive range of free-flowing premium conditioned and bespoke icing sugars. These versatile sugars are used extensively in sweet bakery as well as sugar and chocolate confectionery and are available with and without free-flow agents. 

Icing sugars are produced by milling (grinding) white granulated sugar into a fine powder. A modern conditioning process then equilibrates moisture distribution to ensure optimum shelf-life.

The wide particle size range is perfect for blending a range of added ingredients and provides dissolving properties ideal for:
• hot and cold powdered drinks
• dry mixes
• over the counter remedies

Speciality Milled Sugars

Speciality Milled Sugars have a wide range of applications from biscuits and cake mixes to hot chocolate drinks and over-the-counter medicines.

Powdered Sugar
Powdered Sugar is less finely milled than traditional icing sugars and as such dissolves more slowly. This is used to good effect in biscuits, dry mixes and powdered drinks.

Ultrafine (lightly milled sugar)
Ultrafine is a combination of milled sugar and small sugar crystals. This sugar combines well with other ingredients and provides dissolving properties ideal for hot and cold powdered drinks, dry mixes and healthcare remedies.

 

Technical information
All British Sugar icing sugars are:

• Non GM, and suitable for vegan, vegetarian and Kosher diets
• Suitable for automated production
